AMBONI SPINNING MILL
REA Vipingo Plantations owns and operates the Amboni Spinning Mill located on the outskirts of Tanga in north eastern Tanzania. The mill is equipped to produce a full range of sisal yarns, twines and ropes to internationally accepted quality standards.
The Amboni Spinning Mill produces sisal yarns in the range of 150 metres per kilo to 900 metres per kilo and sisal ropes in the diameter range of 5 mm to 40 mm. Yarn and ropes are available on a variety of different package sizes.
Yarns produced by the mill are used in carpets, buffing and polishing cloth, steel wire cores, sisal ropes, agricultural twine, general packing and binder twines, as well as other woven product. Sisal rope produced by the mill is used for agriculture, mining, nautical and other uses.
